Downtown update

Sep 29th, 2008 | By Stephanie Campisi | Category: Downtown, Journal

The second pass-through of Downtown is done.  This was the edit where I added/cut scenes in order to bring out or play down particular characters and plot points.  I think it worked quite well, although there are still a few inconsistencies I need to iron out.

The next run through will involve before mentioned ironing (oh, yay, novelly housework), as well as wielding my red pen before run-on sentences and sentences with so many adjectives strung together that they might function better as necklaces rather than prose.

I guess it’s time to start writing up a synopsis and to begin working on my query letter, too.  Gulp.

  1. Yes - GULP! I’ve always considered the query/synopsis my archenemy! Of course, on the bright side, it means your story has developed into something that’s close to going out. So that’s worth getting excited about! Good luck :)

  2. Thanks, Becca. :) Yep, it’s just a matter of condensing this mess into a few pages!

Would much rather be in your position right now! :)
