Spam attack
Dec 24th, 2008 | By Stephanie Campisi | Category: JournalA virus or something appears to have got into my e-mail and has happily spammed every single person I have ever e-mailed from my gmail account (yes, all the agents, editors, colleagues, writers, friends, and businesses I have ever dealt with).
My apologies to anyone who received one of these e-mails.
This happened to me earlier this summer! I was mortified! All those agents . . . gah! If it’s any consolation, six months from now, you’ll have completely forgotten about it
I went and looked in my gmail Spam folder and it was there. Gmail is smart that way. It’s the only email from you that hasn’t gone right to my in-box. Don’t worry about it. People understand such things, I think. Though thanks for the heads-up. I would’ve scratched my head otherwise.
It went into my spam box. Hopefully a lot of other people’s filters caught it too.
Thanks, Becca–Hopefully I’m in your situation in six months!
Marshall and Alex: That’s a relief to hear. Although I’ll be a bit sad if people can’t differentiate my normal e-mails from crazy Engrishy spam ones!
