The State of the Union
Jan 25th, 2009 | By Stephanie Campisi | Category: JournalSo I’ve been a bit of a lazy blogger, but in my defence, I’ve been quite the busy Steph. I’m currently going over my proofs for ‘The Ringing Sound of Death on the Water Tank’, which is slated to appear in Australian Dark Fantasy and Horror, Volume 3. This story, which is set on my grandparents’ farm, and is largely true, always gives me the complete heebies.
I’ve also been slogging away at the YA Zombie Love Story, as well as the first book in a children’s series called Spatterbaum and Zitherbother, inc, about a group of unfortunate Paranormal Reconciliation Agents. And somewhere in there I’ve been working a horror story called ‘Champ the Wonder Fish’, inspired a friend’s encounters with an evil goldfish.
I’ve also been spending, er, saving, copious amounts of money on Penguin’s new $10 classics range. Now I can re-purchase all of my first year linguistics textbooks for less than 1/8 of the price. Joy!
