It got to 46.4C (116F) here yesterday, which is a record temperature–albeit something I’m not entirely sure we should be celebrating.

Jono came home from work early and whisked me off to a shopping centre to hide in the air-conditioning of a giant Borders (although there is a Borders just up the road from me, but still). The place was packed out, so we found a little nook near the home improvements section (which I found out is a surprisingly popular area), and I sat down and worked whilst he interrupted constantly to tell me all sorts of fascinating things about the life of Warren Buffett. Luckily, he’s cute (Jono, not Buffett).

I’ve almost finished the first chapter of the rewrite of Downtown, and I put in a few thousand words on something called ‘Aliens Make Terrible Brothers’.

Off to the St Kilda Festival today. Also, it’s cold, and I’m wearing a cardigan. Oh, Melbourne. Always with the amusement.
